Yes - but as long as they discard them [or wash them?] at the end of a shift, I'd have thought it would be ok, and if they use hand gel etc in their cabs, although I don't know how vigilant they are with that. They wear protective clothing too, so passing anything should be minimal as it doesn't last so long on clothing. They're possibly more at risk of catching it because they sit next to each other in the lorry... I know what you mean though. I might spray my handles tonight, as it's supposed to be dry.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Our council hasn't actually cancelled garden waste collection but says to put them out on the normal day and they will collect if they can. They have said it's likely they will have to suspend garden waste collection. They didn't collect last week.
To me it's far more important that the general waste and recycling continues. Our council has also extended the current year payment to 1st February next year to compensate.
Shame they are inaccurate about bonfires, but hey ho.
Bonfires only become a 'statutory nuisance' if they are lit on a consistent or regular basis. A one-off bonfire would not fall into that category. Add to that the fact that nobody outside your household is to visit your property and I'd love to know how they would be able to act even if they were right.
Wild edges, then you would have people complaining about global warming and smoke in the air, we are putting ours into whatever containers we have at the moment, yes, also suspended here in East Sussex, till end of April, but a lot of my friends only have collections 6 months of the year anyway. Whereas here its all year round. Am surprised they havent put 2 weekly rubbish and re-cycling back to every 4 weeks.
I wish our neighbours, would abide by this, this weather I put my washing outside, then you have the choking, smelly bonfires to contend with. But there are no cooked leftovers, especially not at the moment, when several weeks have gone by with difficulty obtaining fresh food.
Ours in East Sussex, normaly is all year, is suspended at the moment, a lot of my friends and relatives in other areas only have collection 6 months of the year, and last year was the first year we had to pay for it.
