Yes - she's been coughingĀ a-plenty, but was short of breath yesterday so called the NHS111 line. We were already doing the given advice, so can't do more unless she gets worse. Thanks for your concern, and glad you were ok too.Ā I know I'm unusual, as I don't really mind the winter at all, but we're just used to it I suppose. Can't change it even if we wanted toĀ I would usually be out hillwalking through winter, weather permitting, but that's off the agenda for a good while now anyway.Ā It could be worse is my mottoĀ
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Very true š I love winter mostly. Bar the lashing, freezing, relentless and horizontal Glaswegian rain š Your poor daughter, I feel for her. My asthma inhalers are the only thing that helped me, in the end.Ā
Glad you're ok @dappledshade. Not funny if you have asthma - much more vulnerable.
Horizontal rain - yup. It's like that all year round where I am... Ah - but when the sun shines....there's no finer place than my beautiful country, as you can maybe see from my little signature picĀ Ā

At the time of writing B&Q are doing click and collect type orders only. Might be a way to obtain compost.Ā @Fairygirl , hope your daughter feels better soon.
Thank you @AnniD Yes - I expect that's where I'll go for compost once we're a bit safer. There's 2 big ones within fifteen mins or so from me.Ā Unless they've been raided tooĀ

@Fairygirl, hope your daughter recovers soon. My son had the cough for 3/4 days, started to felt better for one day and then the next day started getting a fever, shivers and headache. Luckily, heās not felt breathless. He is getting better but taking a while and longer than 14 days.Ā
@dappledshade, itās good to hear from someone who has recovered from it.Ā
I went to Morrisonās to do my food shop yesterday. Also picked up some fence paint and gardening gloves. They were well organised as well.
Glad you're ok @dappledshade. Not funny if you have asthma - much more vulnerable.

Oh wow š²Ā That is gorgeous! Who cares if the rain is horizontal, if you have a view like yours @Fairygirl! I thought the name rang a bell - Googled it and realised that I spent a few days along Loch Awe, way back for my mum's 60th. Some of the most spectacular forest walks. And the best oysters I have ever eaten, gathered from the water just under the hotel we were staying in. Ah....
