We were in OH's cottage in Norfolk when our flight back to France was cancelled so we stayed. Next flight is booked for 5th May so that will now be cancelled too. But I am really enjoying being in England even though housebound. The cottage is warm and comfortable and has a pretty garden which I've been re-planting over the last year. We are allowed out for walks so I've been discovering the bridleways behind the cottage. I'm so lucky.
But poor OH was due a hip replacement this summer which, doubtless, will be postponed. He is very lame.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Busy Lizzie nice that you can explore a little. My hubby just got released from hospital before the lockdown. Unfortunately the “cure” for his remaining blood clots is supposed to be a lot of exercise, which gets pretty boring when you are only allowed out for 1hour and only around your own area, with all parks etc closed! We are worried that his condition will either stagnate or even get worse again during this time. It’s really frustrating to see all his hard work with the phisio etc stopped in its tracks.

The mayor of Les Sables d'Olonne has, in concert with the mayor of La Roche-sur-Yon, ordered a huge amount of proper masks to protect all medical and care staff plus 50,000 fabric masks to protect the population as confinement is eased from mid May.
He is also appealing to anyone who can sew to make fabric masks to a increase availability, b) speed up supply and c) save money. I have passed it on to my patchers who are all from his bailiwick. It seems that two layers of fine cotton, washable at 60°C, will cut spread of all germs, including the virus.

Only needed when you go out tho @Jacquimcmahon. OH wore his when he went to buy compost this morning and some baby cucs and courgettes as I had no seeds for them and the plant fair at Angles was cancelled.
OH wore one of his to go and buy compost and courgette plants yesterday at France Rurale. Says he's never seen so many people in that place at once - about a dozen - and only he and 2 others were wearing masks. I dare say we'll all be doing it soon. My turn tomorrow for the SM run.

We have to take the cat to the vet later. Masks obligatory there. Unfortunately may not be bringing her back with us😥 as I’m not sure how much more the vet can do for her. She may be an old lady now but looking at her asleep next to me now I don’t know how I’ll cope if it is really bad news.
