I am 100% whole milk only but I discovered that when you freeze it, whilst its de-frosting, the white water runs free.  Any use @Fairygirl?

If you have an old fashioned carpet runner on the stairs, behind the bits on the risers is a good place.

I'd have to be able to go and get it though @herbaceous. Not possible just now because of daughter's symptoms, unfortunately, but thanks  :)

Are you speaking from experience @B3?  ;)

so much for help for self employed. " 80% of profits"
Given Hubby's cancer last year, he made no profit

That’s tough @Hostafan1. The measures announced say 80% of average monthly profits over the preceding three years, so although Hubby’s cancer will have reduced his average earnings over that period, he should still be entitled to claim something. Ideally, there should be some way of recording self-employed sickness though to up the payments, like a doctor’s note or hospital records.

What about those who have recently turned self-employed and don’t have 3 year’s accounts? My OH went self-employed in January and payments for initial invoices issued haven’t come through yet and everyone is asking for payment holidays. We have had to borrow money from friends to see us through. Will her 2 year’s prior employment count? There will be lots of people slipping through the gaps, including us!

You don’t need three years but you need a minimum of having filed SE taxes for 2019. Anyone newer than that will not get any grant money.

Regarding a bad year, yes it’s averaged from up to three years so although the bad year will lower the overall amount, he will still be entitled to something.

@Fairygirl yes.  way back in the last century, my husband was paid in cash. It wasn't always possible to bank the money straight away. Fortunately, the stratagem was never actually tested but I'm pretty sure it would work for chocolate.
