..how gorgeous is that?  are those Bird of Paradise flowers in the border?  you certainly covered most of that ugly tarpaulin..  the 2nd picture looks some kind of Fan Palm.. gives us a warm feeling on a cold day here..  must have been fun to do at the time..

..sorry I missed your post there... I can't remember exactly, I think they just drop, I don't recall it looking ugly.. perhaps Mr Vine Eye or Perki can enlighten, as they still have the rose..   yes the blooms are much smaller than The Pilgrim, but it's an entirely different type of rose..

It was great fun, I was very lucky and had an excellent gardener as well. Those are heliconias, they come in many shapes and sizes, I tried to find and plant them all. I loved these
huge ones. Pic from Wiki I need to see if I can unzip my old photo files or scan actual printsHeliconia chartaceaJPG

    My condolences @Marlorena and @Tack.

Commiserations for @Mr Vine Eye and his family. I do hope you don't get it badly. It seems the virus is getting closer to us all now which is scary. Thank goodness for our gardens and roses to give us succour.

You could have told me that BEFORE I placed my order 😉

I don’t remember seeing that one when I was looking

lol... I've been trying to find this Helianthemum for several years, I hadn't realised they had changed its name...  I've not noticed it before on the Secret Garden site..

...  you know you want one ..
