It must vary from county to county,  I had the text from our doctors surgery.  Our pharmacy does the flu and pneumonia jabs but not the COVID.

Thanks for flagging this up. I’ve just booked OH for his spring booster on Friday, at the Exeter vaccination centre. Looks like lots of appointments available, including tomorrow.

Probably because we are in a less populated area, maybe?

I've booked mine, although it's not until 20th May. It's at a different surgery the other side of town and they're only doing it on Saturdays. OH, who is now over 75 hasn't received an invite yet.

My OH didn’t get an invite. I put his NHS number and date of birth in the website, and it said he was eligible for the latest booster.

There's probably a human hiding somewhere behind the death by option battlements. He's in a corner surrounded by empty pizza delivery boxes and playing a computer game. Just thought you'd like to know.

@pansyface, I would make an appointment for one of you and just turn up with both. The NHS/Government want our age groups to have that booster so they are unlikely to turn you away. We did the same thing for our third booster I think it was, OH just turned up with me and asked if he could have his at the same time and they were only too pleased.

Try saying that one of you is the other’s carer and you should therefore both have the jabs together. I’ve known folk do that with good results.

Just spoke to my son,  he’s over the border in Cornwall,  been offered the jab,  can’t get an appointment.

@pansyface, think of it as a good excuse for a trip in the country, followed by coffee and cake!
