@Plant it  or nuts where brains should be.
  • I was very relieved about Sainsbury's prioritising older people as my 94 year old mother is relying on them. How do they know how old you are though?

It would be even more sensible if they could use their Bus Passes before 9.30am  :/

    Letter from Sainsbury’s says:

“We will also help elderly and vulnerable customers access food online. From Monday 23rd March, our online customers who are over 70 years of age or have a disability will have priority access to online delivery slots. We will contact these customers in the coming days with more details.”

Not sure how they know - maybe something when you register for online shopping?  Would suggest your Mum gets in touch with her store if she hasn’t heard from them by the end of the week

Yesterday had my Tesco delivery. 12 items changed , 5 unavailable, and the next time I can get a delivery 6th April. 🙄

I'm making my last trip to the garden center on Saturday. Get everything I need in anticipation of it closing.

Can’t fault my tesco online shopping, got slots booked weekly until mid April. All that was missing yesterday was a turnip, a swede and a bar of chocolate.
quite a few items I was limited to ordering only one of. That’s fair, I only need one washing up liquid or jar of coffee at a time.
I don’t remember putting my birthdate on the registration form.

They can probably work out your age from your first name and the things you buy regularly. Thats just some of the information that they can glean from your loyalty card.

I agree about the bus pass.930 we decided should be scrapped but of course the Adolfs who drive the buses objected to our objection so my dearly beloved and her mates invented the 6 minute bus queue.A lot of them queued up showed bus pass.Yer  can't gerron yer too early.Next one up. Same. After about ten of them it was 930 .You can't beat the old ones folks.

Good tips. I just changed my name to Vernon and added some Werther's Originals to my order. I'll see if it bumps us up the queue from mid April :#

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
