You won’t believe what I read on Facebook , those people being televised in the COVID wards are just actors, how can people be that ignorant. i know Corbyn used some actors in the election but not this. how can some people be so stupid! 🤬🤬

@pansyface the people who give flu jabs in pharmacies are pharmacists. Already very busy with an increased work load who have worked throughout the pandemic. Some are involved in administering the Covid vaccine but most are unable to do so as they are busy doing their “day job” I agree that many people are capable and would have thought this should have been organised by now but with this government I think I was being over optimistic.
'...I take my news from various sources. If the BBC says one thing, but 20 other countries say something different....? Just because something has the butchers apron wrapped around it doesn't make it true...'
Give an example of that - actually what was reported by the TV, when, where, who... then do the same for the 'source' that you think got it right. Also, you seem to conflate the BBC with the UK as you imply there is only one source in other countries - I would assume any event would be reported in different ways within any country - different slants and nuances. That's what 'free' media does (or at least gives the illusion of doing).
The problem is that if you don't do 'detail' you end up like Trump - you become a source of propaganda yourself (maybe intentionally?).
Edited to add: This seems to get off the Covid subject - so if you want to carry on with this, maybe start another thread for 'TV reporting' or whatever?
@steveTu The Scottish referendum in 2014 opened most folks eyes up here. There is too much to give a single item. It is daily, and it is relentless. I recommend 'How the BBC stole the referendum'. As you say, enough about politics on the Covid thread.
No, it means they've ordered it, just like we order summer bedding or similar stuff ahead of time from nurseries ... they then grow enough of those to fulfil their orders and send them out to the folk who've ordered and paid for them.

Yes - healers and carers first then the elderly and others most at risk from the consequences of Covid infection. I'd also prioritise other essential service providers in the NHS, schools and essential shops because they are constantly exposed to risk and cannot control who they meet while they work.

I don't think a person can be contagious from the vaccine itself (as far as I know, none of them contain live virus), but if they already have the virus asymptomatically then they would be able to spread it. And, if I understand correctly, you can still pick up Covid and spread it after you've been vaccinated, you're just much less likely to get seriously unwell from it yourself.
