2.000 killed during an uprising in India during their fight for independence. BBC headline, 2 English, (probably Scots or Irish), soldiers killed in local disturbance.
"As compliance drops and risky behaviour continues despite the rules, it won’t be because people want to let the new strain spread. It will simply be that they think they are being responsible, operating in ways the government once told them were safe. And the consequences of that behavioural trend will not be the fault of those taking risks, but of a government that failed to inform them that it was a risk at all."

Possibly I’m being dim here but are you jokingly saying this is how the BBC might have reported the 1857 Cawnpore massacre?
I suspect a Latin mass is almost guaranteed not to exceed the recommended maximum number of attendees but now that lockdown restrictions are legally enforceable I hope he's arrested and prosecuted. Trouble is, if he's confessed and been absolved he's free to sin and confess again isn't he?

Sorry to break the news but you could still get COVID even after the vaccine(s) have taken effect. The idea is that your illness will be much less likely to make you seriously unwell. I know someone who had the vaccine in the Summer (trial) and was positive, with a mild illness, the other week.
What if the vaccines don't work against any new varient like the South African one?what's the point in having it if it doesn't work against them?and I'm not saying this as an anti Vaxer I fully support vaccinations and will have mine as soon as I'm asked.it just worries me and it doesn't seem to have been answered properly??
There is no way of knowing whether any vaccine will work against any mutation of a virus in advance. The current known mutation is very similar to the original virus, so it is likely the vaccine will work. However viruses can mutate very quickly, and no one knows what will happen with future mutations, so new vaccines may have to be made. It is like the flu vaccine, which changes every year, depending on what mutations of the virus are found.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I heard that they don’t know yet, but the mutation is said to be concerning as antibodies may not be so effective. Give us a break COVID! Meanwhile, we have to crack on with the plan and hope the vaccinations can be done ASAP.
They’re talking about mixing vaccines, waiting 12 weeks instead of 4, I think they are in panic mode now. I'm definitely not an anti vac but seriously thinking of leaving this one for while. I don’t go out, don’t see anyone, avoided it so far, so I will wait until they’ve got themselves sorted out a bit. As I said before, this is going to lead people into a false sense of security. I’ll wait for 6 or 8 months and see the outcome of this lot.
