  • Today my dear old dad would have been 101. In a way I am glad he isn't around to deal with all the  challenges we've faced this year.

That's good news @josusa47, a double celebration perhaps?

Hoping against hope all goes peacefully across the pond tomorrow...  sighs of relief rather than fizz here cos we don't really drink, but the feelings will be the same.   :)

Another RTBC for me today:  plants I ordered 4 days ago arrived this afternoon.  Bigger than the advertised size, well wrapped and bursting with health.  Too late to do anything with them today, but tomorrow most of the bare roots will be potted up, though I have spots prepared for others...

    Happy birthday Possum!

Good news, @josusa47.  Hadn't realised you'd been in hospital.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Well done @josusa47

Yesterday my left hand wouldn't work properly for about an hour, and then righted itself.  I thought I might have had a transient ischaemic attack, aka mini-stroke, and was afraid I'd have to go on blood pressure meds.  Today I saw a GP, my blood pressure is fine, and she thinks it must have been a trapped nerve.  Quite a relief.
    You’ve been in hospital @josusa47 ?!😮
Thought it was a trapped nerve ... whatever happened?

    Glad you’re home  🤗

Just heard some American Republican talking about Trump on Radio 4 - when asked what she liked about him, amongst the list was '...his wisdom...'
    Yes! Trump humour still lives....

There seem to have been several things going on at once, not necessarily related.  The biggest issue is that I'm in heart failure, despite having none of the usual risk factors.  They sent me home today with shedloads of new meds and dates for further investigations.
  • Hope you improve  steady is the best way.  @josusa47
