Bit of a double edged sword but we have just seen our first Fieldfares in the Rowan tree over the back from us. Of course it could mean much more cold weather to come.
Despite having been away studying A levels for only 3 terms, my grandson has 5 interviews for Oxford, 2 at St.Anns, 2 at Christchurch and one other, and has been accepted at 2 other universities so far. Extra proud nan here.

We had Redwings the other day too

Yesterday my left hand wouldn't work properly for about an hour, and then righted itself. I thought I might have had a transient ischaemic attack, aka mini-stroke, and was afraid I'd have to go on blood pressure meds. Today I saw a GP, my blood pressure is fine, and she thinks it must have been a trapped nerve. Quite a relief.
RTBC for me is that our GP practice has been amazing in the last year, to be honest they are really very good all the time and we have never in 16years not be able to get an appointment. They have done phone consultations and then face to face of needed, they have various specialist practitioner nurses full-time as well. I had a phone consultation this week for my tennis elbow and saw the Muscular skeletal nurse face to face the next day.
If you manage to survive the half hour Trial by Vivaldi, you get to speak to a receptionist who tells you that all of the day's appointments have gone and no you can't make one in advance. I did get a telephone consultation once.
