Looking grand @LeadFarmer. Works very nicely with the wall too  :)

I'd paint the posts too, so that they blend in with the fence   ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Thanks Fairygirl.

I've started to hide the liner with larger stones. A few creeping plants should hide any that's still visible..

@LeadFarmer -  I ripped out the grass in the back garden in April and made a bigger pond. Logs and bigger bits of trunks from laurel etc are good for perches.
It was far too difficult to get it deep enough for my liking, but I also wanted a large shallow area for all the birds etc. The wasps in particular, love sitting in the gravel for a drink.
More [pygmy] water lily flowers opening today.  :)
I've done the same - lots of stuff which will gradually creep over the edges. I had lots of bits of Saxifrages and Arabis etc, and I'm considering a couple of Siberian Iris. Already have quite a bit of planting from divisions to do the edging.

@Fairygirl That looks a very nice pond, can't wait for mine to mature.

I'd love a larger pond but that would have to go on the main part of our garden, and our Labrador would be in it in no time!!!

I just realised that's the only pic I have of it! I'll take a better one at some point.
Yours looks around the same size though.  :)

I was watching the wasps doing the same in my pond today. Nice to watch.

I have 2 nests at the moment and they're also enjoying the fennel - it's covered everyday. Must be something very attractive to them in there  :)
They also enjoy clearing up any squished snails. Fascinating little insects.
