What is the name of that pretty pink salvia?

    Stunning as ever @pitter-patter
  • @fidgetbones It’s a mystery, unfortunately. I bought in a small local shop with the label Salvia Flammenn, but that’s obviously not it. The closest I came to identifying it was Salvia Pluenn. Lovely plant, continuously flowering and, even more importantly, a good upright compact habit.

@Fire Thank you. I feel very grateful for having this beautiful garden.
  • Absolutely gorgeous @pitter-patter! I love those salvias, did you take successful cuttings from those? And that salvia is beautiful 😍

@rachelQrtJHBjb, thank you for that link to the article about Nori and Sandra Pope. We visited Hadspen in the week of 9/11 when the news and everything was just too much and we just had to get out of the house. I had a long chat with Sandra about the garden and she was lovely. It's such a shame that it has all gone, it really was a beautiful garden.
  • Not my garden but one of the iconic vistas at Waterperry, near Oxford. Well worth a visit for late season colour.

  • @bullfinch Thank you. I’ve taken salvia cuttings successfully in the past. I prefer to root salvia and penstemon cuttings in water as it’s easier to see when they’ve taken.
