The thalictrums are happy with the new shady bed. In the morning and late afternoon, the flowers poke above the shadow line of the fence, and light up in the sun, which is nice!

@Yviestevie, mine was planted bare root in March, I got 4 for £20 one each of "the rose of the year" for the last 4 years. So far they are all doing well with lovely healthy foliage and lots of new growth. I can't smell them as I have lost my sense of smell (not covid related) but I gather Sweet Honey is perfumed too.
