What type of payment do you accept?

Hi there! My name is Pierre, I am new to this forum. I created an account as I am just starting my career as gardener in freelance and I am struggling to get paid in time, as most of the time, my clients say bank transfer is a hurdle. They usually ask me if I could accept cash or take the credit card, but I don't want to pay any extra fees or carry cash with me. Do you know any other free payment solution? I heard of the app called Banked on iPhone. Have you tried it before? Thanks a lot -

    If you dont want to pay extra fees like probably every electronic does accept cash. can't say of heard of banked on iphone.

    You can also bank any cash at the post office.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    OP did say he didn't want to be carrying cash around tho.
    I invoiced my clients at the end of each month so only had to carry it from them to my home once a week

    You could set up a Paypal account and they can pay on their phone I believe but I don't know if it's free for businesses.

    It's not. Paypal charge a rather complicated sliding fee - works out about 5% ish. You could increase your fee to cover the charge.

    The vast majority of my customers pay for the year's lawn treatments via 12x monthly standing orders. Whereabout are you? I've not taken cheques for about 7 of those years, they're a hassle. 

    Best of luck. I've been in business ten years, happy to help anyone trying to set up. Do have a think about specialisms, whether fences, planting, lawn mowing, whatever. This develops you as an expert in something and commands much better rates than someone who tidies and weeds.

    Most of our customers are old folks who have no idea of internet banking, so we get cheques, having no bank locally I have to post them.
    I make up the bill, take it with me, do the job and post it. 
    Bigger jobs from the council is all done by internet. 
    As long as we get paid I’m don’t care what method they use😀
