Isn't supermarket bread awfulšŸ˜? Particularly the sliced stuff.
Gone back to making my own after a few week's break. It's a faff, but at least you can eat it!

  • I agree @B3 šŸ‘ We always make our own bread ... it’s much nicer than even the best supermarket bread and it’s simpler and cheaper to make it than to go to the shops to buy it.Ā

A gust of wind just ripped half a roof panel off the greenhouse. Snapped the glass pane in half and shattered it all over the ground outside nothing else seems to be moving though. The neighbour's fence just collapsed and I can hear destruction happening out of sight. Something very loud like a shed collapsing a minute ago. A gust lifted all the decking planks off a neighbour's half-built decking but I assume they weren't fully screwed down yet. Someone else has lost a load of roof ridge tiles.

I ned a break in the wind so I can check the plants in the greenhouse aren't getting too wet but I don't fancy picking glass out of my teeth :#

    Wot she said!!!

The rain has arrived and its a lot windier now, here in Norfolk, and I can hear the sound of hammering ... something’s being nailed down.Ā

My OH’s just gone out for a walk, wonder if I’ll see him again! šŸ’Ø 🌬
I have know the wind much worse that this, many times, nothing’s moved in the garden, perhaps the worst is just missing this corner.
Daughter and grandson are in Oxford I’m hoping they can get the train back home, there’s talk of cancelling some.Ā

@wild edges. I think my step daughter lives around your area, hope she’s ok.Ā

The houses in our road face north/south so we've been quite sheltered so far

I had to take the dog out for a walk as he can't go in the garden until I clear up the glass. Certainly blew the cobwebs away :o It's a bit of a mess up here though with rubbish and stuff all over the place.

I think the blue bit was the eye of the storm passing over. We had a blue calm bit while I checked everything, But it is getting windier again now. We had a Biblical delugeĀ  with high winds (Think Firemans hose coming sideways) earlier. I was just leaving the supermarket and got soaked.

My OH was heading to the watering hole. What's all the fuss about? Thought he.
    Then he turned the corneršŸ˜‰
