@wild edges, spare a thought for my poor niece, she's already got a nearly 3 yr old and is having twins next week! I can't imagine how she's going to cope.Â
I don't know how people cope with twins  I've been told it's great when they're older though.
Well on top of having to replace the washing machine and freezer since the kids were born, the dishwasher has now developed an intermittent heating fault. The heater is fine but there seems to be a short circuit in the door wiring. I diagnosed this by touching it and getting a small electrical shock. I suspect this machine will be joining its fallen comrades in the recycling centre and my rapidly dwindling savings will be further dwindled.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I have a friend who flew from Hong Kong ( where they live ) to London with a 2 year old and 6 month old twins !! ( I'm glad I wasn't sat next to them )
Or even in the same plane!!  Only flew once with Possum when she was small - 14 months - and then I just made sure she was busy drinking during take off and landing so she didn't get the popping ears which set off most bairns on planes.  She celebrated her 6th birthday in Oz and for that long flight we had a brand new pink gameboy, various games and drawing stuff and some sweets to suck, all packed into her little Barbie wheelie bag.  Worked a treat.Â

You think that's tough. I worked with a young guy who had their first baby shortly after her 16th birthday, followed by twins just after her 17th! I'm not sure if they ever worked out what was going on.
I had 6 children under 10 but I loved it( mostly) just didnât even attempt to have any life except children for a few years! I feel sorry for parents these days who have to work as well as bringing up children, itâs a full time job and I donât envy them! We were just poor for years and I was lucky enough to be a full time mom until the littlest one started school.Â
Well done you! I had just the one, admittedly very late on, and was also a home mum. It was great fun but I did have an adult life too, just not a paid one. Â
We were on a ferry to Ireland. We were delayed by fog. There was a fog horn which sounded at regular intervals - as they do. My 2year old daughter aboard. Every single time the foghorn sounded she would say "What's that noise?" We would answer " A foghornr". This went on for houre, fortunately much to the amusement of sai daughter and fellow passengers We eventually arrived in port and she promptly fell asleep just befe we had to move her to get ti the car
