Why does digital fashion appear strange? The whole world has gone from currencies of beans to precious metals to notes 'promising' to pay to money winging its way through the aether - and we all accept that money as real. My money is a plastic card and a set of numbers. Kids pay money for artefacts for their avatars in online games. Bitcoin isn't real ...

The world is going digital - as you can all attest as you trade digital words and images..

It's like that stupid woman who was mugged of her £25,000 watch in Kensington this week. In an area known for its muggings for expensive watches. If you must indulge in conspicuous consumption just because you can, why did she not carry it discreetly about her person and then put it back on in the office or wherever she was going.

£25k would probably pay for a policeperson for a year too but the rich don't want to be taxed more.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • @steveTu you have convinced me ... I shall purchase a digital frock and wear it next time I pop down the road to W’rose 🛒

Any influencer worth their digital salt wouldn't turn up to the supermarket in their digital frock unless they were being paid to do so. Or at least being given their groceries for free. Maybe you could ask Waitrose for some digital potatoes in exchange for you gracing them with your presence.

Great Aunt Sylvia had to go to hospital last xmas, they did some tests and said that she had a mass on her liver. They weren't going to do anything, so sent her home. I don't think she understood that they thought she only had 3 months to go. We celebrate her 104th Birthday next week. :D
Bless Great Aunt Sylvia, a lovely lady.
I will raise a glass to her 🍾🎂

Don’t really need any digital potatoes ... brother emails them over.  I’m wondering whether I should wait until summer ... or maybe take a leaf out  of HM’s book and get myself some digital faux fur ... 🤔

You don't need to be persuaded by me - they now do university courses for digital online sports. Art is digital...
    ...printed digital art....hmmmmm.
People spend millions of pounds on 'stuff' in the virtual realm...

...people are already paying to build 'other' lives in the digital realm...all within the first 50/60 years of computerisation.

Odd really, as we're already in a virtual reality game - and we're just at the point ready to build the next generation game and disappear down that same rabbit hole. How many layers down are we? Man evolved to create technology, then seeing the digital world held more appeal, entered the digital world - then in the digital world man evolved to create technology, and seeing that the digital, digital world held more appeal, entered the digital world...repeat ad infinitum. Plato expressed it in Forms....and if Plato's Myth of Er isn't a story of finishing one game and going onto the next as another character, I don't know what is....
    I'm really Dwayne Dibley...or is it Neo...or is it....Er...Ummmm

So, buy that digital dress and put it on your digital avatar....

  • I’m very fortunate @steveTu ... I don’t need to spend my bitcoins on fine feathers ... my digital avatar comes complete  ... see above  😉 🕊

If someone is convicted of e-crime, can they pay their fine in bitcoins, or have their avatar serve their prison sentence?
