I'm a very fortunate person.  Grass man said yesterday the he would call in after 12 today to carry the stuff down to the big freezer in the basement.  Saved me going up and down the steps six times.

Its is so sad hearing the news of that poor lady and I hope no more people are fatally injured in these stressful times. Its difficult to imagine a bowling green being covered by water with stately swans swimming over it let alone the sheer horror for people whose houses have been flooded yet again.
PF I knitted a wreath last year for my brother and sis-in-law in Australia. Another sis-in-law said that she would like one too hence this latest one. It is from a pattern but you can make it your own with your choices of colours. No two are alike.
Chey, I hope that you and Luco are safely out of the flood's way.

Joyce, your grassman sounds a real gem. Saves you having to lug stuff down to the basement.

Ho hum. I have been waiting all day for a delivery from Hermes. Got an email at 11:37 telling me it will be delivered today. I have no idea how long they work up until but I'm beginning to doubt it will happen. The annoying thing is that I cannot settle to do anything until the package arrives. Can't risk going into the garden in case I miss the van.

    I know Matlock well - can't believe it's flooded!

Me and Luco are warm and dry, but some other areas of Buxton - which only just recovered from the flooding in the summer - are about to go underwater again..

That is looking very neat and tidy Chive. Will you be filling up the pond again?

Ruby, I used to get like that when the light started to fade - especially with the dark wool. I hope that the driver has the Sat Nav set to get to me by midnight M-U!
PF - you are not joking. The annoying thing is that they don't update you through the day like UPS do. You are now delivery no. 963. Driver is at delivery no.2 accompanied by a dinky little map.
