Oh  Chey that is horrid . I do hope that the meds kick in quickly and you get some relief. You take care .

Oh dear Chey. That sounds an awful lot of antibios. I do hope that they kick in soonish and you get some relief.

PF - I sometimes think I'm armed and dangerous when I'm knitting. Image result for armed and dangerous knitting images

Evening everyone. Had a semi-busy day after a restless night.

Made Jerusalem artichoke soup (my favourite), prepped some chillis and other stuff for the freezer, did some paperwork and watched several You Tube videos about how to use a log splitter and chainsaw - ready for making lots of logs after we've had some tree work done.

OH has always been a bit reluctant to let me have a chainsaw but it will save a lot of money if we can prep the logs ourselves - so he might relent now. Three (very sensible) neighbours own them so I'll probably ask one of them to do some tuition and supervision as well - just to be on the safe side!

Chey - hope the antibiotics help.

LB - that's a pretty piece of knitting. Is it moss stitch? I can knit but it makes my wrists and arms ache. Find crochet much easier but I never really like the finished article (a bit too circa-1969-poncho style) so don't bother much. Hope your parcel turns up this evening.

Pansy - not allowing Elsa to bully LC is going to be quite a delicate balancing act. Good to hear that she's gained some confidence and started exploring the house but she's going to have to learn to share...

Chive another thumbs up for homemade lemon curd here. Somewhere I have a nice recipe for a meringuey type roulade filled with lemon curd and whipped cream - yum😋 and also an ice cream recipe which is basically whipped cream folded through with marscapone, lemon curd and broken up meringue shells and frozen.

... which has just reminded me I have a jar of (shop bought) raspberry curd in the cupboard. Was going to use it this summer in a sponge cake with cream and fresh raspberries but I forgot all about it.

I love sawing stuff up M-U. There is a certain satisfaction when the branch eventually gives way. Why has Saturday night become such a dross night for TV?

My feet are like lumps of ice M-U. When I did my forestry course with chainsaw I had to wear hard hat, steel capped boots, ear protectors, and a face screen and rip proof padded jacket and trousers. I could hardly move never mind chainsaw anything.
