I'm glad you felt well enough to go shopping for the poppets SGL.
Pansy, the dentist's chair sound scary.

Interesting find in the garden this afternoon.......when the chap was blowing leaves off one of beds some loose soil blew off exposing what looked like a very large toadstool. It was half a loaf of bread that had been partially buried!!!  Suspect it could have been a fox as there were droppings not too far away.

    Night, night all.

Look what Col TT has been up to - lending his tiny tank to this wonderful veteran's son.

Good morning everyone. I hope that you all have wonderful days today and that you are safe from the dreadful conditions certain areas suffered yesterday.

Morning Chive. I meant to say Joyce that I can just imagine the fox's bewilderment when it goes hunting for its cache of food only to find a mouldy mess.

Morning 🙂 Very cold (got down to 0C last night) but it's dry and trying to be sunny. Waiting for the tree surgeon to come to talk about some work that needs doing.

Hope all those in and around the Sheffield / Peak District areas are ok. Looked pretty bad on the news this morning.

@star gaze lily - Xmas presents for adults are a bit of a nightmare aren't they?
I found some different things on the Present Indicative website https://www.presentindicative.com/collections/new

and I'm going to buy my sister in law a voucher she can put towards an arty crafty course: https://www.craftcourses.com

Other than that a lot of restaurants and theatres do gift vouchers if they're into that sort of thing?

    Morning all.  Frosty and sunny.
.....sco order arriving before lunch so will need to get it all put away before my Friday afternoon visitor comes.
LB, the bread wasn't left in the ground to go mouldy.

The young ones in the family get cheques for C....s and are very good at saving up for holidays or to buy something that costs a lot.

Hi all just back from visiting mom off to work in a bit then out with friends for a curry later busy busy! Apparently the restaurant is having an Elvis tribute night but hoping for a quiet table upstairs, not my cup of tea but the food there is lovely the staff are friendly and it’s local so should be ok.
I have put up extra bird feeders as well as the table which so far has only attracted pigeons but fingers crossed more interesting birds will arrive soon. Dry here after heavy rain but very cold and windy.
