Grass too long to mow!

I've got a thing on wheels that fits onto the bottom of the strimmer ... this does long grass very easily - cuts it to about 4 inches - and the cut sward is easily collected. There is no weight to hold onto whilst cutting and it's very comfortable to use - even over bumps and lumps. I do this March to early April and only once a year.
  • You can hire a strimmer on wheels, they are capable of tackling brush & bramble so will deal with thick grass easily. Wear stout wellies!

  • The job is done now, bulbs planted, will give it a good going over with the mower on the lowest setting, and just hope for the best.
  • I wouldn't use the lowest setting, that's for something like a bowling green - go for 2 or 3 and give the grass a chance to recover!
