    Sorry @B3 - just saw this [I went out]  :)
    It's a fairly common one up here - maybe it's a Scottish term? I thought it was fairly universal - maybe it's just a bit old fashioned  :)
    What did Mr Google say? I'm too lazy to look it up...... :D

    My mum was very fond of the 'gas at a peep'  saying  :)
