Afternoon Chey?  Have you got some grit or perlite to add to the compost?

Thanks @Ladybird4 - I felt we were needing a few more folk with good clicky fingers as he was getting a bit persistent  ;)
Hi @star gaze lily and @Topbird. Hope is all is ok with you too, although I'm guessing frm T'bird's post that it isn't so good for you s.g.lily?. No need to explain to me if you don't want. I'll send fairy dust anyway and wish you well. x
Had a good few outings thanks, T'bird, but the last month has been rubbish with the rain/thunder/lightning etc. Got burnt arms end of June when I went up to Loch Quoich/Knoydart to do a couple of single Munros there. Not used to puting suncream on for hills  :D Not sure if I put any pixon the camera thread, but I'll look later.
Not seen any good progs for you recently either, but I'll give you a shout if I do. Have you and Mr. T'bird  been on any travels too?

    PM for you Fairygirl🙂

Chey - hope you have better luck than me with rosemary cuttings. I think I probably keep them too damp. As Joyce suggests they need some really gritty or sandy compost to root in.

Joyce - was it yesterday the insurance assessor came out to see you? did I miss how you got on?

Afties all. Chey, Joyce is right. Your rosemary cutting will need good drainage. Having said that, I once had a rosemary cutting in a glass of water for several weeks, it rooted and is now a nice little plant in my garden. It flowered profusely this year.

Yes it was yesterday T'bird.  Talk about complicated ways of dealing with things.  The insurance company told me they were passing it on to a company dealing with land slips. That company phoned to say that someone from another company would be calling to make the assessment.  The chap who came had to answer questions on an app on his phone (double Dutch to me)  and it was for an American company!

Crikey Joyce. That will be how they justify exorbitant fees to whoever. Lets hope that they just get everything done quickly and without too much fuss.

Joyce  , I do hope that the insurance is sorted out soon . You and your neighbours need peace of mind about the land slip before the winter.
It has gone very dark . We have the lights on . The wind is blowing pots over in the garden.

Doesn’t matter who deals with it Joyce - just so long as it gets dealt with efficiently and effectively. You and your neighbours will sleep a bit easier once work is underway.

Well it did not take long for the weather to revert to howling winds and rain. At least I managed to get some stuff done in the garden but not nearly enough. Tomorrow - I am blitzing in the garden. It is so Autumnal today - nice bit of sunshine earlier.
Ruby have you managed to get into your garden today?
