Avoid Crocus

I have used Crocus over the years and found them marvelous. Sadly, not now. My last two orders were appalling. They were small cuttings, not plants . Some were leggy old  and hard and the price was  eyewatering. This company has gone from being thd best to the worst. Avoid. Don't waste your money. Shocking service and products.

Use proper nurseries and you won't get that problem

I've never used crocus just because of the prices.
I still have dealings with some of the growers who supply them and I know what I pay for those plants and I'm sure crocus pay less than me.

  • Yes, thanks nutcutlet, you are right. I have learnt my lesson.

    My thoughts exactly.
It all looks very pretty in the advertising, so people succumb.

The only thing I use Crocus for, is information (size, growing conditions etc) of the plant I'm interested in.  Even bog standard garden centres are better, in my opinion - not just for price, but because you can choose a nice healthy plant and reject the scrawny ones...

Extortionate price, it’s only handy for plant measurements.
I never buy from them. I was looking at  Lobelia to see how much they were.

Lobelia cardinalis, ‘Queen’ was £12.00 now down to £10.00 then postage on top.

I already have a four footer coming into flower with several buds on it.
