Nollie - why don't you just order the seeds form someone like Chilterns or Plant Word or Seedaholic - save a fortune and get spares to swap or sell.

Because its a PBR cultivar, @Obelixx and not available as seed. Also this particular plant takes a good while to establish, so ideally I want a buy 2L pot, not take three years to grow it myself!

@edhelka, no, not a mistake. Click on the link on my earlier post and prepare to be shocked!  I can send my own courier there to collect and deliver, but I bet that would be expensive too...

Ah well, I suspect it’s back to the drawing board  :/

That is absolutely mad. They probably use one shipper (maybe UPS or FedEx) and don't bother to look into other options. I've just checked 3rd party shipping providers I use often for my business and you could have it shipped with DPD for under £20 and you would have it on Monday. So it's either incompetence (unfortunately very common for smaller online retailers) or they don't want international orders.

    EEK!!
I ordered from a Hosta nursery in Holland and it's a standard £20 delivery but if order total is over £100, it's free.
If you dont mind me asking, which Hosta Nursery? Wouldnt mind getting a few more.

You'd better make it snappy, they're not delivering post brexit.

If you drill down on export info, which I just did, they use Parcelforce and are ‘unable to locate an alternative international courier’ apparently. For that price your delivery is not even insured for delays so presumably you take the hit if plants are DOA. I pointed out to them in my email that DPD, MKW, FedEx etc deliver regularly to my area... They definitely don't want international orders. But why offer them then? Claire Austin used to do European deliveries but don’t now, presumably because of difficulties. More honest, at least.
