I'll let you know AnniD, you've been helping me. I'll do it on here so if anyone else has the same situation they will either know what to do or where to go for help. I have tried tiggywinkles they are shur till Monday 9am unless it's a real emergency. Someone has just told my son about a rescue centre call Hula which I have just phone and left a message but it looks like they are closed till Monday there must be somewhere I can phone for advice as a lot can happen between now a Monday. Talking to son just now he said he hope the mother doesn't abandon them as there will be two more hedgehogs in the world and there are so few now. If she puts her nose out tonight she will smell the food I've put down and as it's only a few inches from her hopefully it will mean she stays put as there's food for her youngans. I'll check tomorrow and if the food has gone I'll put more down.  Son agrees they were around 2 or 3 inches in size. Reading the link below I think the Piglets must be at least 4 weeks old if not a little older.

    Found this website.

AnniD, Just had phone call. Putting the food and water close by is good. To leave it till tomorrow and have a quick look if she's the alls fine if not she might have left them but due to where the nest is she might just be out looking for food. Difficult call but apparently there not much else I can do other than take them to the center but they would be better of with their mother. She reckons they are about 5 plus weeks from my description and normally stay with mum till they are 8 to 9 weeks.

So I'm keeping everything crossed she stays with them.

Your message has just come through, thank you.

AnniD I have also emailed the people over by you, thinking all information is good. I so want to go and check that they are OK but wont as she might be out and about soon. If only she had used the hog box I made. I left the top off and it in the open then put gloves on and put the lid back one before moving it undercover last Sept/Oct and still she didn't use it.

@NannaBoo If you do see her out and about nearby, at least it's a good sign that she hasn't run off.  Hedgehogs are a law to themselves !

Your right there but I'm just keeping finger crossed she stays with them. I'll lift the wood on Monday just enough to see if they are all there if they are I'll have to just leave it till end of August when the babies will have left. Who knows maybe one of them will take up residence in the hog house. I want to get the tree in that area before the winter and we have a load of large rocks to raise it all up over there. The wood that is covering them is what I bought to make three bird boxes but needs must.

I'm off to have a very late tea, thanks for your help and advise I do appreciate it.
