@Joyce21 that's him. I always thought he looked a bit creepy, but then I'd never seen JRM

I obviously had a very sheltered childhood 😇 ... although I was aware of Ging gang goolie but I didn’t know the words.

Ma often sang Mairzy Doates but as we were a farming family I always took it to be educational 🐴 🐇 🐑 🐐 ✅

I think a notable addition to the tradition was the iconic I am the Walrus .... 🤣

I only recently worked out it was mares eat oats and does eat oats. How sheltered was that?
And then there's my friend Billy who was a rather well endowed flasher  @Dovefromabove

Just popping in to say my dad used to sing this when l was a child. I used to think he had made it up, and then in the early hours of one New Year's day, l heard it on the radio .
    Chickery-chick, cha-la, cha-la
    Check-a-la romey in a bananika
    Bollika, wollika, can't you see
    Chickery chick is me?"

I love the way these threads go off in all directions - l like mayonnaise on chips as well.😋

My mum used to sing that too. Must have been a popular ditty back in the thirties and forties or so. I think I always assumed it was a wartime thing.
