they only have a very sorry looking potted palm and the wooden planters filled with cigarette ends! Oh and a plethora of weeds which keep trying to invade my side of the partition.

    Pot and kettle eh?  ;)
How unpleasant of them Jacqui. I hope it hasn't upset you. You have a lovely garden which you should be rightly proud of.

As well as snakes and parrots, have you got any young chaps around who could dress in a leopardskin and swing from a rope, with the accompanying Tarzan yell ?

Well I didn’t need the Tarzan,, they were making enough noise for us all last night. So much so that we ended up with a police visit at 11pm, after a day where I had a permanent head ache due to the noise and the cigarette smoke plume. (15 ish adults in small space all yelling and encouraging a plethora of kids to scream as loud as they could while kicking a football into the dividing fence.).

needless to say I am now waiting on some petty retaliation, probably linked to my hanging baskets being visible on their side of the fence or some other such petty stupidity. sometimes I wish we could simply build a ten foot wall.

That's miserable, Jacqui. Some people have no consideration at all.  :/

Perhaps a nice hedge of Mahonia, Pyracantha or Berberis would be more appropriate. That would keep them at bay.

Lol 😂 I wish. At least it would be better than the bindweed creeping over the fence from their side.

Oh Jacqui, l feel for you. I just can't understand the mentality of people who want to make life as miserable as they can for others, and encourage the next generation to behave in the same way.
I also feel sorry for the police who have better things to do with their time.
I have my fingers crossed that things settle down.

Your patio patio looks lovely, Jacqui. Don't let your neighbours words upset you. Continue taking pleasure from what you have achieved, and keep going with it! :)
