It looks much more loved. Good idea to live with it for a while before doing anything too drastic anyway. With my garden I concentrated on improving one area, or one thing I was unhappy with, at a time. I haven't ended up with the garden I would really have designed from scratch, but I've got to know what is there and worked creatively to minimise my effort and expense while making the biggest impact.

Thanks, to be honest its mostly due to financial constraints, if I won the lottery I'd have it landscaped tomorrow, but I decided I didn't really want to start doing bits and pieces just yet in case I regretted it later.  Plus the garage roof started leaking horribly in December so that had to come first!

I'm quite happy with a lot of the stuff I've grown though and with keeping it neater and tidier, so its very bearable for now.

I think next year might see more substantial changes.

Gardening is a marathon rather than a sprint, take your time and don't forget to just sit and enjoy your work

I’ve been off work most of last week for a much needed break, so there has been plenty of sitting in the sun and enjoying the garden!  Lots of wildlife too, I’ve had blue tits, goldfinches, blackbirds, lots of other little brown birds I can’t name, plus, bees, butterflies and a few frogs.  It’s been lovely.

Thank you!  Just need the roses to start flowering now for a bit more colour!

You've worked really hard @FlyDragon and you should be really proud of yourself. I love the brick raised beds! You could add a small arch to that too and have a climber going over it to really invite you into the rest of the garden.
    It's looking great now. x

  • Well done @FlyDragon don't you think it's much more satisfying knowing that it's all your own work? It's looking great.
