Clematis and roses intertwined look wonderful until they get knocked off the fence by rain. There's no untangling them. Ive attached the roses back to the fence temporarily. The clematis will have to fight its way out because I daren't do any more in case I snap them.

I bought a new additional hosepipe yesterday - it hasn't stopped raining ever since.

OH is wearing my cervical collar round his thigh! Why? he has a groin/thigh problem and can hardly walk. He thought this would help until he can get a proper thigh supportĀ Ā  :#

Another thing, why is there bindweed in the soil where I planted a new clematis last Autumn? I know there wasn't anything nasty in thereĀ  :'(
Bindweed can travel long distances underground and pop up where you least expect it.Ā  I feel your pain.

Are you sure it's not legal to shoot pheasants on your own land?Ā  A friend of mine who has a large country garden is plagued by rabbits, and rabbit pie is often on the domestic menu.

Pheasants are only in season 1 0ct to 31 Jan Shooting them at any other time you’re liable to a hefty fine or, in some cases, imprisonment.

Rabbits can be shot all year round (as long as you have a licence) as they are classed as vermin.

Personally I’d rather get an experienced warrener with ferrets to deal with rabbits in the garden.Ā

Don't get too attached to the rabbits as that haemorrhage disease is spreading quickly.

Also why is haemorrhage so hard to spell? It's like one of those Gaelic place names that's pronounced totally differently to how it's spelt.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Some good news. I ordered a greenhouse today so from now onwards it is going to be perpetually mild and sunny. Actually, I am not taking delivery until November giving the landscaper 4 months to sort the foundations, so from November onwards we’ll know nothing but benign weather.

We went into London both days this weekend for the open garden squares weekend, actually a lot more than "squares" are open.Ā  After criticising other people blindly following their Phone aps to get around we came back across another garden we had just been to & realised we could have taken a much more direct route between the two than we did, we justified our route though, as we were able to buy lunch on the way, had we followed the phone ap like others we would not have passed any shops.

Always buy your lunch away from the main roads in London, but check the Scores on the Doors first.
