Can I just be curmudgeonly about the ridiculous hours of sport on tv? with , or without music?

Crikey @Hostafan1.   You haven't even got Sky Sports to contend with!!  OH is flipping between golf, cricket and a bit of tennis as well as the football when it's on.

That's not curmudgeonly, it's perfectly reasonable not wanting to watch people batting a ball at each other. It occurs to me that maybe the music is to drown out the grunting that I believe they do nowadays.
I've just been thinking: how come a footballer needs to spit, but a tennis player doesn't?

@B3, you didn't see Kyrigos spitting all over the court yesterday then ! Have switched from the women's singles match as they have one that shrieks every time she hits the ball. Bring back the music 😁 !

I've pretty much stopped watching women's tennis because of the screeching, but there was one womens match yesterday without any of that, and good quality tennis too, which also makes a change in the womens game.  Far too many totally one sided matches compared to the men.

I don't watch tennis. That's another reason for me to avoid it @AnniD

We can’t stand tennis, all that grunting and screaming, do they actually orgasm sometimes!

OH taken up with women’s football at the moment 😱

I don't watch sport because , given that I don't know those taking part, I couldn't care who wins, or who loses.
I did have the misfortune to see a female footballer empty one of her nostrils by pushing her finger against the other and blowing. Vile doesn't even begin to cover that sort of behaviour.

Way back when, I used to watch every minute of Wimbledon but haven't for about 4 decades now, since all the grunting and shrieking started.

I'm 56 years old and have never once in my life ever heard anyone say " I wish there was more women's football on TV"
There were 3 new Opera Theatres opened in England last year and I'm sure more folk pay to go see opera than pay to go watch women's football.
I think the last opera on TV was Christmas day 2016.
