Crikey @Hostafan1. You haven't even got Sky Sports to contend with!! OH is flipping between golf, cricket and a bit of tennis as well as the football when it's on.

That's not curmudgeonly, it's perfectly reasonable not wanting to watch people batting a ball at each other. It occurs to me that maybe the music is to drown out the grunting that I believe they do nowadays. I've just been thinking: how come a footballer needs to spit, but a tennis player doesn't?
@B3, you didn't see Kyrigos spitting all over the court yesterday then ! Have switched from the women's singles match as they have one that shrieks every time she hits the ball. Bring back the music 😁 !
I've pretty much stopped watching women's tennis because of the screeching, but there was one womens match yesterday without any of that, and good quality tennis too, which also makes a change in the womens game. Far too many totally one sided matches compared to the men.
I don't watch sport because , given that I don't know those taking part, I couldn't care who wins, or who loses. I did have the misfortune to see a female footballer empty one of her nostrils by pushing her finger against the other and blowing. Vile doesn't even begin to cover that sort of behaviour.
I'm 56 years old and have never once in my life ever heard anyone say " I wish there was more women's football on TV" There were 3 new Opera Theatres opened in England last year and I'm sure more folk pay to go see opera than pay to go watch women's football. I think the last opera on TV was Christmas day 2016.
