Then there's racing cars meeeaawww, meeeeaaww, meeeeaawww. Cars going round and round. About as interesting as scalextric
Scalextric can be fun if I get the controls ... it’s watching that’s soooooo tedious 😑

I suppose driving a racing car would be fun too. Whacking a ball with a stick would not
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Clearly i am out of synch with most on here, I love sport, nearly all sport, but I do pay a lot extra for the privilege of watching what I want.
I hate anything with the title celebrity in it, which clearly puts me at odds with most of the population, although maybe not most on here.
I agree that arts coverage is very poor on the terrestrial TV, although there is some reasonable coverage on SKY.
One of the many things I hate about " celebrity " TV is that I rarely know, nor care, who any of them are.
As said before, I pay the same for my TV license as sports fans, I'm certainly not lining the pockets of Rupert Murdoch to pay for Sky as well.
I don't "hate" sport. I'm sure if one was playing it was be wonderful, but for me it's just one lot of folk I don't know competing against other folk I don't know.
8 (? ) folk running round a track, swimming up and down, cycling round in circles. One will win, the others lose. I'm sure they've all trained really hard and they all  really want to win, but neither winning , nor losing, has any impact on my life.
I just don't understand why folk get so worked up about it "  which clearly puts me at odds with most of the population "

Golf and gardening are two of very few activities that it is possible to enjoy alone, or at least to avoid the feverishly competitive participants so I like them both. It is true that golf, unlike gardening, is not so interesting as a spectator sport and my husband was won't to repeat the damning criticism that it spoilt a good walk.  Haven't played for years but I do still enjoy a good walk - also not a spectator sport.

I gave my OH a sticker saying golf was for people who don't have enough stress in their lives.

He tells me golf is all about beating yourself.   18 holes, at least 4 hours to get round - plenty of time to talk yourself into making mistakes.  He does enjoy compettions tho.

When his golfing chums ask if I play I always reply that life is too short and there's far too much to do.

Day dreaming is, without doubt, my favourite pastime, although sometimes I give it other names.
