Do you talk to your plants?

I was reading that plants respond to audio whether it be music in the greenhouse or talking to your plants. Personally I'd feel a bit of a prat!  EDIT: I do swear at them.

That really made me smile, @philippa smith2 .
I only tend to talk to robins, because I think of them as being my dad popping in. No particular robin, all of them. I might try having a chat with the church bells in future.

I've never been convinced by the theory that plants grow better if you talk nicely to them.  If they did, wouldn't we be entitled to think that the reverse would be true?  Imagine the ease of verbal weed control.  As long as the neighbours weren't offended by the language.

I talk to plants. I don't know if they feel better for it but I do.

I always talk to my plant telling them how good they look, it makes me feel better and I hope it makes them feel the same, mad or what I don't know. I talk to the bee's as well but then I do invite them to sit on me and have never been stung by one, I'll love to feel their buzzing. My neighbour however is always being stung or so he says. Wasps are a whole different kettle of fish, I don't like them but they have the place in the garden.

I mostly talk to myself when gardening, but I prefer to call it "thinking out loud". :/

I speak severely to roses when they get me with their thorns.

If you are of a delicate disposition you wouldn’t want to listen in to my conversations with bindweed and ground elder!   But I do sweet talk others.

I talk to mine but I find the dogs answer back more, even when I am not speaking to them.
