After a while I cease to notice my own messiness (watering can, weed bucket, tools etc around) while I'm outside gardening.

Contender?  Only the peonies are visible to me.

East-facing and neglected, ground below covered in cyclamen and snowdrops, Obelixx.  All I have to do is keep tying it back towards the fence each spring as it grows outwards reaching for more light.

Thanks @Jacquimcmahon. They were all eaten to groundlevel by snails over winter. I was going to throw them away, but fortunately I didn't get round to it😊
    Now it's lily beetle patrol!

You're right @philippa smith2. The undergardener is mainly used for the heavy stuff and I need to conserve his energy.

Same here and he doesn't notice "mess" except when it's in the way of his mowing.  Then he'll tidy up hosepipes and pots and piles of weeds and dog toys and garden chairs and so on.......

Put everything that needs putting away on the lawn might work for you.
It wouldn't work for me as mine tends open the door and lob it in so it all has to be tidied up again anyway - although this final stage is a rare occurrence usually involving adjectives.
