Thank you so much everyone for your support and best wishes  it means alot.
BUT we Gardeners must crack on so being big and brave here is the Lunar Calendar for the next few days.
11th Dec until 1.47pm if there is no frost HA!! (Plenty here plus sleet today/ Flower 🌹 Day plant bare root roses and shrubs (well I won't be doing that!)
12th December Moon in front of Cancer ♋ so Leaf Day. Although no gardening recommended today before 4.35am ..remember the golden rule gardening not recommended 5hrs before or 5hrs after any Lunar apogee or Périgée..in this case apogee. After this period today start forcing another batch of Chicory.
13/14/15th December Fruit and Seed Days with Moon in front of ♌ Leo Start to prune Fruit 🍑 Trees that are exposed to high winds. Remove crossed branches and any suckers around the base
Take out any aged branches that have ceased fruiting well. Brush the 🌲 trunks to remove moss and lichen (as you know I'm not keen on doing this.I always thought that moss and lichen were a sign of no pollution and it's not mentioned on Biodynamic or Biodiversity notes) Thoughts please?
Spread compost around bases and cut back Raspberries and pop prunings with strong stems into your new Fruit Beds to grow on for next Season. This really works. I do it with Black/Red Currants and Gooseberries although you will have to wait a couple of years for these to fruit, but who turns away free plants?
16/17/28/19th December Root Days. Clean your gardening tools. Prepare heavy ground by digging but only turn clods over, don't break them up, let the frost birds and bugs do that for you. You should be able to just take it over on the Spring. According to your needs start lifting Jerusalem Artichokes /Parsnips/Salsify and 🐎 Horseradish. Hold a few back to replant in the Spring (See more free plants!)In mild regions plant Garlic..still haven't got mine in, so will do it then.
Going to treat myself to a Biodynamic Diary for next year, so I can provide more info.
    Take care. Keep warm.
    Happy Gardening.

We have warmed up today but have rain and this pm I have a doc's appointment 45 mins away so no chance to get the garlic in today.   Looks like early January for that then, assuming we stay thawed.

No signs of life in the onions I planted in November yet and I suspect all our remaining brassicas have been frozen and are gonners.  I have some pointy cabbage plugs to plant out, maybe next week.  They're tucked up in the polytunnel at the mo.

After that I shall turn my thoughts to weeding veggie beds ready for planting and deciding what to sow first.  Definitely chillies and tomatoes but maybe some greens too and some pink onions as soon as we have enough light.

How are you coping @biofreak?  I hope you can have OH home for Xmas with all the critters.

Hi Everyone..hope you had a nice Christmas. Too wet to plant anything here. Same position as you Obelixx. There is not very much to do on the run up to the end of the month.
27/28th are Flower Days so harvest Autumn Cauliflowers. (My Romanesco don't look that happy.) Of you have heating in the greenhouse or on a windowsill sow begonia semperflorens without covering seed as they need light to germinate. Plus pop on some pelargonium too but you can cover these with a thin layer of seed compost.. 29/40/31 Leaf Days. Harvest Salad Leaves. Cabbage and Brussel Sprouts.
Sad news I'm afraid O/H died just after midnight on Friday 23rd in hospital under heavy sedation so no pain and knew nothing which was a blessing. Poor little soul did not deserve this, the brain cancer just tore through his system. Cremation 2nd January as everything has to be done inside a week in France, and we're slightly out of time due to Xmas and New Year. Will bury his ashes back in Chiddingly in UK in the Spring. Beautiful picture postcard Saxon church next to the Village Green where they play cricket. All the family going back generations are there and I shall join him when my time comes. .

I'm so very sorry @biofreak but pleased for you both that it was peaceful.

I wish you all the best for the coming week and the cremation and all that follows.
