Is going to build it up and fix an old fashioned pump so I can use the water for the garden.it was used as drinking water for the village .there's a village phamplet called the village pump!will post pics when done.thanks again!!!😀😀

    What a fabulous project 😃
We will require regular photo updates 😉

So envious -what a fantastic project.

The nearest well to us (that I know of) was filled with concrete in the 60’s for no apparent reason.

At the time the house was owned by a mate of the Kray twins and it is rumoured that a London hoodlum who crossed the Krays went in at the same time as the concrete....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • I shall send pics but let's hope there are no dead bodies !! Treasure would be good tho!!
  • Got a builder in to build  up a wall.got a pump.but the bloody builders didn't turn up today!!hubby finally got a hole of one of them.said he'd left his phone at his mates.so hubby is outside trying to fix it.got a massive boulder they got out too just sitting on my patio.bet they got drunk last night.what was to be a nice feature is now a mess.

That's unfortunate, but hopefully the builders will turn up again on Tuesday to finish the job - it will be lovely when it's done. Hope though you're keeping it covered over while you're not working on it - speaking as someone who fell through a hole in the floorboards!

How about toughened glass so you can see the water?
