Rather like some of the Council workers/gardeners - can often be seen spraying water on beds in full sun - waste of water, time and money. Whilst councils do produce some nice looking beds etc., I do wonder why they don't get their act together and make permanent planting where appropriate.Β Yes, it still requires maintenance but nothing like the labour intensive beds of annuals some councils seem to be addicted to.Β
A few people have said that their homebase looks after the plants very well so mine must be a one off. The plants are fantastic quality but you have to get them the day of delivery in hot weather. I've never been and noticed the floor wet as it's mainly undercoverΒ
Β£90m of stock? In reality the investment was fabric, the cost of someone to find the fabric, designΒ the garment and someone to make it and someone to get it to the shop.Β I can't see that being Β£90m.Β All they had to do was source some more fabric and start again. The free publicity probably covered that and then some.
A designer handbag or whatever isn't worth thousands of pounds - it costs thousands of pounds.
