    Thanks both.  Yes, @LG_ - it does seem a long time ago, already!  "Only" 27 in the shade at 10am in mine... even the birds are snoozing.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Did you go? I went today (insane I know, in 35° degree heat). It was fantastic. The photos were good - it was lovely being able to look at the winning entry close up - but some of the botanical illustrations were breathtaking. Really worth the trip.

    No I never left the house . I didn't even go out into the garden. The idea of sitting on the 185 for 40minutes was too much to bear! It's still on for a couple of days isn't it -I hope.

    It did feel a bit bonkers to go out in it, but I was boiling at home anyway so thought I might as well go. Then I went to the Lindley Library and borrowed a *really* heavy book, just to make myself even hotter :wink:. As far as I know, yesterday was the last day.
