Plants in paving
I would like to plant seeds in my paving slabs as most of the grouting has disappeared. There is hard core under the slabs and I thought I might mix the seeds with compost. Does this sound reasonable and what sort of seeds would you recommend. Clumps of aubretia have already self seeded in the area

After reading your post I read an article Christopher Lloyd wrote about growing plants in paving and one of his suggestions was Sisyrinchium which already self seeds happily around my garden so maybe I will start there. Thanks again.
