I particularly liked the brief glimpse we were given of that loveliest of dogs, Nigel, whilst the final credits were running.
Goodness, Sam, you're a superobservant viewer!
When I watched the programme on Friday, I thought that dog was Nellie but after reading your post here, I decided to take another look; so today a rewatched it. Yes, it was the beautiful Nigel with his tennis ball and Monty in the background!
How touching that he was part of the final episode of the year he left us.
I'd missed that, mainly because the minute the screen is "squeezed" and the voiceover bloke started talking, l pressed the stop button. Luckily l was able to retrieve it and catch that moment. Well spotted @Sam 37, thank you.
So I know we all had our last episode and there's been loads of nice comments on here but !!!! I forgot and was nicely settled on the sofa tonight chocolate peanuts, G&T and a roaring fire all set for my TV highlight of the week when Mrs Wilderbeast says "it finished last week idiot " so thanks GW for proving to my wife once again that I am indeed an idiot 🤣🤣
