    It is not recommended that you give free advertising to companies unless you also quote that other supermarkets are available.

    I didn’t spot the mention me link, I simply wanted to share the bargains so Ladybird is that right... I can’t mention bargains or products I see on this forum? Don’t want to upset anything or anyone? 

    As for mention me link, I thought I copied Aldi link but apparently if you buy and mention my name as recommendation, we get £5 off?? But I only spotted this after your comment!!! I was Too excited after buying my goodies!! 😂😂😂

    how do I delete please?

    Sharing links is fine as long as you're not deliberately setting out to advertise the company or products. 

    Posting links that you will get personal profit from (in this case vouchers) is more than a little cheeky for a new member, and could get you spam flagged to the mods.

    They can be mentioned as long as you don't use the company name as your thread heading and you use things like A**i; 'sco; A**a; for example.

    I asked how to delete this discussion!

    i had no clue that there were rules like this as I am new!!

    I had no clue I would be looked upon as cheeky either and be made to feel so uncomfortable and almost tearful at your comment @Kitty 2

    i love getting bargains and I thought it was a link to a shop where I bought some lovely products and wanted to share with you. 

    Please flag it for breaking the rules as then in the very least it will be deleted.
    But I won’t be able to delete how upset I am from your comment sadly.

    I am sure nobody meant to upset you and it looks like you made a genuine mistake with the link. Don’t worry about it, why not look at other threads and put posts on some of them which will push yours “down the list” so to speak?

    It certainly wasn't my intention to upset you so much @MUMMYNATURE. I apologise sincerely.

    I was simply trying to say that sharing links is perfectly acceptable as long as it's not blatant advertising.

    As for the "cheeky" comment, you did post that link in multiple discussions on the forum. I was trying to 'lightheartedly' point out that it could have been viewed as a self promotion to gain vouchers via the mention me scheme. I failed.
    You did it accidentally so don't worry about it, it's no big deal. Debs is right, it'll soon sink down the list and be long forgotten.

    BTW, I didn't spam flag your post. I think it's unfair to hit genuine new members with them when they are unfamiliar with the system.

    I do hope you feel better soon and have a happy and productive year ahead in your garden 🌻 :)

    Hi Barry. Sorry, I decided to stay away from the forum for a little while. The deliveries are today so I am very excited!! I will take some pictures (avoiding the brand names or risks of free advertising etc!!🙄) and show you. 

    The hanging baskets i did I did buy however!! £2.99 each crammed full of trailing petunias and in a wicker basket too so no plastic!!
    i couldn’t buy the basket for that let alone the soil, feed, liner and plants!! (Even from seed!!)
