Hi can anyone help
identify this grass?   We’ve tried cutting down a very small amount and hasn’t resprouted. Not sure how to treat it.

Thanks

Looks like glyceria maxima variegata, except a bit big.  So my guess would be a similar glycleria, and they are normally pretty impossible to kill.

I think it's a Phalaris , we have some in our garden here in Wales beware it does takeover as its roots are rhizomes, but it's variegated leaves blends in well  we like it .

Bamboo is many ways the perfect plant!  The roots are so dense that nothing else gets a look in and it grows and spreads fairly quickly.
It depends what you want to do with it, if you want it removed the problem is usually getting the root out so that you can reuse the space.  If you cut back part of it it'll continue trying to resprout and spread back into that space, so the best way is usually to constrain it with a physical barrier, remove it completely, or keep it in shape but trimming shoots as they come up.

IMHO too woody for Phalaris. I'm with @nutcutlet, some form of bamboo.

Hi I recognised picture 2 with the variegated leaves as Phalaris, the last pic is a Bamboo of some sort .

I might be wrong, but I think they're all the same plant.
