Too Much Plastic.

How many of us have spent time on hands and knees trying to condense and match different pots (simply to compact and save space).  Wouldn't you have thought that councils could sort the recycling problem with all the technology available in 2019?

    I don't believe the councils properly recycle half of what we send in the recycling bin. Shipping it to India or China for them to process does not count in my book.   Reuse, and if you don't grow your own seedlings on, try the local allotment holders to see if they want free pots.

    Yikes, that looks so tidy!  Nothing like my own stash, in two old recycling bins under my potting table.

    A tidy Potting Room just shows that you respect your place of work - and, in theory everything can be found easily.  My greenhouse floor is washed and hoovered, if any tiny black dots appear then it's an indication that there could be caterpillar activity so it can be dealt with before it spreads.

    I wish I had time to respect my potting space. I barely have time for the potting let alone colour coding my pots. It's probably a good thing I like caterpillars :#

    How can you like caterpillars?  They destroy what you're growing.  Don't tell me, you keep slugs as pets???

    Ha my pots live in a cardboard box, I only sort them when I run out of room! I actually just bought 80 brand new little (6cm) pots today as I ran out when potting up tomatoes. and as to hoovering the greenhouse floor (well if it wasn't bare dirt) I hardly get round to the house floor!

    Caterpillars grow into the creatures that we rely on to pollinate the plants we grow. It's only fair that we feed them as they grow. Slugs are vital to a healthy garden too and a good source of food for many welcome animals in the garden.
