ID Please folks

Now been living on 'the island' 5 months and trying to get my little garden together. I have taken out some massive laurels and other shrubs in my front border - and put this mystery one in a bucket while landscaping the area. Since the warm weather it has grown like crazy and looks very healthy. I am only keeping plants and small shrubs with colour so if this is a semi weed, it will go!

If the pic won’t upload try reducing its size.

Edited to say:  🤣 we posted at the same time.

A semi-weed is perhaps a plant which is delightful in the wild, or in someone else's garden, but you wouldn't want it in your own.  Or it could be something attractive you planted a few years ago when you had space to fill, and has spread over so much of your garden that you rue the day you planted it.
  • Photos wouldn't load 1st time so posted them separately.  I have an Astrantia in a big container, just starting to grow (pic appears in loading box but then nothing happens, hence posting separately) the leaves are a different shape. Mystery plant has small bud type appendages forming.
  • Sorry - can't get photos to post at all now. Might be my iPad that's the problem!

    Astilbe?
  • Wondering if it is Yarrow2. Someone has looked at it and said it is an Asta - is that the same as Astilbe? I can't find anything on internet spelled Asta. (They didn't mean Aster, by the way!)
