Clematis Query

I have a Princess Diana clematis which at the moment has one stem with only one bud . It is on a standard size trellis panel, and gets sun at the top for about 2 hours a day from middle of May to beginning of August.  I was wondering if l can plant a Bee's Jubilee alongside it, or would one overwhelm the other?

    If you feed and water your Princess Diana enough to help her grow and thrive she will easily out compete the Bee's Jubilee.   I would put Bee's Jubilee somewhere where it can shine on its own.

    Hi @AnniD, I personally wouldn't put a pruning group 2 Bees Jubilee with a group 3 clematis just because they have different pruning requirements. I think it would be a headache trying to lightly prune your Bees Jubilee after its first flush of flowers if it's stems are growing amongst your Princess Diana.
    I have Princess Diana growing on a trellis with a Shropshire Lad rose , the rose in bud is a good colour match with the clematis. I don't think the pink of Princess Diana would be a good blend with the central bar of your Bees Jubilee tbh, but that's only my opinion and its your garden. Also when it gets going Princess Diana is very vigorous and might swamp your Bees Jubilee clematis. 
    I would treat yourself to a nice climbing rose for Diana to compliment and enjoy the beauty of Bees Jubilee alone somewhere else.😃

    Thank you @Obelixx and @lilysilly. I think you've both confirmed it for me ! Princess Diana is being closely monitored by me to make sure that (hopefully) nothing causes that one bud to give up ! I have another one in another part of the garden and it really is a beautiful clematis. I will find somewhere else for Bees Jubilee.  Thanks again  :)
