  Have a look at the Large Yellow Underwing  (Noctua pronuba) and see what you think:

  These feed on a large range of plants.

  Thanks Bob, I recon that’s it. Some right porkers spotted chomping on pretty much everything in the garden. Most annoyingly the fresh growth on the outdoor grapevine and kiwi!
