My husband, who is a breeder and 3 star judge of rabbits has informed me it's called Coprophagy , but it doesn't happen as often as that and is eaten strait away @debs64 and  @Hampshire_Hog is 😁

I knew rabbits recycled their poo and general as I understood it only when times got hard but now I know the correct name for it. See you can teach an old hog new tricks 🐖 😊

3-5mm blunt on both ends and green? sounds like caterpillar to me. I couldn't even begin to make a guess at which though.
  • Too too big for caterpillar.Largest dropping 1cm ,rounded rectangle shape ,green colour and same spot on patio every night around 15 droppings.

    Too small for a deer?

i think deer dropping is quite small but I will go with goat.
What's the prize for guessing the right culprit?
If it was me I'd have my motion sensor camera filing the spot overnight.
  • No deer or goats where I live
  • Okay then any other ideas?
i cleaned it up for 3 nights and was there each morning.4th &5th nights just left it and whatever it was has not been back.Obvioisly doesn’t like doing it in a dirty place,no other places usec

As another poster has said, set up a wildlife camera and you will soon know who the culprit is.
  • Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but did you ever manage to identify these? I’ve found some in a large pot which would be hard (I think) for most things to climb into! There is some overhanging ivy above the pot, so makes me think it might be a bird of some sort?! This thread has the only images I can find that match... (same time of year too)
