A 'Handy Remedy' ?

Whilst moving some heavy terracotta pots today one of the rims shattered and almost severed one of my finger nails ......nice eh ?
When the bleeding stopped I applied a thick coat of superglue to bond the nail  ; it appears to have worked . Impervious to water it seems to have an almost ceramic property .
Probably give time for the nail to re-join .
Maybe worth keeping a tube in the garden shed for emergencies like this . :)

I’ve glued broken finger nails, it doesn’t last for long you have to keep applying it, the ‘glue’ has been taken out of the adhesive now for elf n safety reasons.

If just the glue on it’s own isn’t enough, make a ‘patch’ with the fabric from a teabag and glue it to your nail with superglue. Works a treat and can be covered with a layer of nail polish should you be invited to tea at Windsor Castle. 🎊

Good advice there Dove , but I don't think nail-polish would last long on my job ! :D

Doesn’t last long in the garden either ... but if HM asks you round for a slice of birthday cake 🍰

My wife is forever stealing my superglue to fix nails, although she keeps her nails shorter now due to nappy stuff :# . I'll pass on the teabag tip though. It sounds a bit like fibreglass repair work on a micro scale.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
