Are you maybe asking about the dark scabious, @Ericaheather? I would like to know the variety as well. Two years ago, I’ve grown an annual one, ‘Black Prince’, that looked quite similar.

I’ve just ordered more spring bulbs... and two salvias, a geranium, an astrantia and a woodrush. How did that happen?

Yes @pitter-patter it was that one. Had to Google both. Newish gardener here, apologies. And now have 2 more plants to buy. Both are beautiful. Going to have no room by the time I get to tatton park flower show ☺

What did you buy? I bought my first ever salvia today. Going to tatton park on saturday so ive restrained myself as much as possible, so I can fill my boots spending there! I've cleared a lot out to make room. Just hope I'm not disappointed. My first flower show :)

I popped in to Norwell Nursery near Newark, just to have a look around their lovely gardens really. Ended up leaving with a Salvia forrskaoli. Because, you know, with only S. "Amistad", S "Caradonna", S. "Lavender Dilly Dilly", S "Ostrfriesland", S. "Blue Note" and S. "Purple Rain", I obviously really really needed to have another salvia in my garden....

You can never have too many Salvias IMHO.
